Welcome to Egremont SchoolEgremont Schools, Inc. is a nonprofit, coeducational, independent Preschool-Grade 5 day school serving approximately 120 students on one site in Chatsworth, California. Founded in 1936 in Costa Mesa, California, Egremont Schools, Inc. began its 76th academic year in the fall of 2011. Since its inception, Egremont Schools, Inc. has always been guided by a mission to provide high-level academics, a commitment to character education, and a belief in a broad offering of programs. Over the years, the academic programs in Preschool-Grade 5 have reached unparalleled heights, driven by the twin beliefs that students seek that place where they are "challenged but not stressed," and that students are capable of extraordinary academic achievement. Three ingredients combine to help create this academic achievement: a strong academic curriculum; dynamic teachers who are skilled in their disciplines and who instill a love of learning; and a talented and diligent student body that spurs itself towards continual intellectual growth.
